Cuba Community Crisis Fund

Donate Now to our Community Crisis Fund

As the humanitarian crisis in Cuba enters its eleventh month, the need for support remains as urgent as ever.

Your donation provides direct, practical support to Cuban families facing the ongoing crisis. Funds are used to purchase essential items including food, hygiene products, over-the-counter medicines, baby supplies and other everyday necessities, which are then distributed through trusted community networks across the island.

We focus on getting help to people quickly, efficiently and where it is needed most, working with long-standing contacts and partners we have known personally for many years.

Every contribution, no matter the size, helps provide essential support to people living through one of the most difficult periods Cuba has faced in decades.

Why This Fund Is Still Needed

When we launched the Cuba Community Crisis Fund in April, we hoped that conditions across the island would improve by the summer.

Sadly, that has not happened in fact things are even more desperate.

Over the past eleven months, Cuba’s economic and humanitarian situation has continued to deteriorate. Communities across the island are still experiencing prolonged blackouts, shortages of food and medicines, unreliable access to water and cooking fuel, and growing economic hardship. For millions of Cubans, daily life remains a constant struggle to secure even the most basic necessities.

This is not a distant or abstract crisis for us. These are our friends, colleagues, neighbours and extended families. We continue to hear daily stories of kitchens without gas, homes without running water, schools disrupted by power cuts and the sick unable to access essential medicines.

The resilience of the Cuban people remains extraordinary. But resilience alone cannot overcome a crisis of this scale.

That is why the Cuba Community Crisis Fund remains active.

Every donation will to be used to buy and distribute food, hygiene products, over-the-counter medicines and other essential supplies through trusted community networks. The need that inspired this campaign in April has not disappeared. If anything, it has become greater. We need your help, so please donate what you can.

If you have travelled with us over the years, or simply care about human dignity, you already know this truth:

Cuban people are warm, generous, creative, joyful and fiercely resilient.

Right now, they need solidarity more than ever.

Why This Matters to Us

At Cubania, we have spent almost thirty years working in Cuba and building relationships that go far beyond tourism. Through our community-focused trips and small-group tours, thousands of travellers have experienced the real Cuba: its culture, creativity, humour, music and extraordinary warmth.

Over those years, we have built lasting friendships with families, guides, farmers, teachers, musicians, cooks, drivers and countless others whose lives have enriched our own. Many of the people we work with are not just colleagues or partners, they have become part of our extended Cuban family.

Today, many of those same people are facing one of the most difficult periods we have witnessed in nearly three decades of working on the island. Day after day, we hear firsthand about the challenges they face simply to secure food, medicines, fuel and other basic necessities.

We launched the Cuba Community Crisis Fund because we wanted to do something practical that could make a real difference to the people and communities we know personally and care deeply about.

We stand firmly with the Cuban people, their families, their communities and their future.

What Cuba needs right now is solidarity rooted in realism, compassion and respect. Not romanticism. Not politics.

Just clear, practical help.

Together, We Can Make a Difference

Cuba needs friends.

It needs compassion.

It needs practical, human-centred solidarity.

If you can help, please donate.

If you cannot donate right now, please share this appeal with friends, family and colleagues. Spreading the word genuinely helps and may reach someone who is able to contribute.
