Cuba’s New e-Visa System is Here!

Getting ready to travel to Cuba?As they say in Cuba, “No te desesperes, que todo llega”—don’t despair, everything arrives in the end! Well, the wait is over: Cuba’s electronic visa (e-Visa) is now live!

What is the Cuba e-Visa?

The Cuba e-Visa is a fast and user-friendly way to enter the Republic of Cuba for tourism. It allows you to complete the immigration process electronically. However, if you are traveling for business, you’ll still need to apply directly through your local Cuban Consulate.

How to Apply for a Cuba e-Visa

The e-Visa is issued by your local Cuban Consulate, but some trusted travel agencies, like Cubania Travel, can simplify the process by handling payments and applications online—saving you a trip to the embassy. Here’s how it works:

  1. Request a Visa: Complete our Visa Request Form or email us at assistance@cubaniatravel.com, indicating how many visas you need.
  2. Get Invoiced: We’ll send you an invoice and ask for a photo of each passport’s photo page.
  3. Make Payment: Pay the £20 per e-Visa via bank transfer.
  4. Receive Your Visa: Within 72 hours, you’ll receive your Unique Visa Number and a link to the D’Viajeros form—keep this safe! You’ll need it before traveling to Cuba.
  5. Complete the D’Viajeros Form: The D’Viajeros form is available 1 week before departure. Use your Unique Visa Number to complete it online.
  6. Get Your QR Code: Once you’ve filled in the form, it will generate a QR code. Keep this on your phone or print a copy, as you’ll need to show it at check-in and upon arrival in Cuba.
  7. Step-by-Step Help: Full instructions for filling out the form are provided below.

Important Note: Paper tourist cards for Cuba will still be valid until December 31, 2024. If you have a paper visa, make sure to use it before 2025!

Once complete, view, save, and print the PDF. Cuba does not send a copy via email, so it’s crucial to save this form!
